About Wardley Maps

My journey with Wardley Mapping began in 2012 when I stumbled upon Simon Wardley's blog during what felt like the most boring period of my corporate career. I was stuck in a traditional strategy role, drowning in PowerPoint decks and endless meetings that went nowhere. The moment I understood the power of mapping to visualize competitive landscapes and evolution, I knew I had to make a change. Within six months, I'd ditched my corporate job to become a full-time mapper. It was terrifying and exhilarating at the same time. I spent the next nine years working closely with Simon Wardley, learning the craft of mapping both alongside him and independently with organizations worldwide. Those years taught me that strategy doesn't have to be abstract theory – it can be visual, practical, and immediately actionable. Today, I'm passionate about sharing this powerful technique with business leaders, strategists, and anyone who wants to escape the trap of ineffective strategy and start making decisions that actually matter.
