During my prototype analysis I have found out that there is a huge gap between mobile and desktop usage patterns. In short, the desktop screen and mouse (with a context menu) gives a very good experience in creating and managing entire maps, but... it is barely usable on a mobile device.
The big issue is that the recommended touch target should be of the size of your finger tip, so this is a serious limitation of how many nodes you can put on your screen. Additionally, there is a certain hassle connected to triggering double click and context menu on mobile apps, so I am sure mobile will require separate UI philosophy. Which in turn is bad for user experience consistency.
That's why I am asking you - what will be your preferred device for maps creation?
Thank you in advance!
