The Tool Terms And Conditions
The Provider - this is the company that provides you the service. It's name is Quality4IT and it is located in Poznan, PL.
The Tool - a computer software made available as a service available at https://atlas.wardleymaps.com, together with associated systems.
You - you as an individual person.
Value Chain Map - a mechanism raising situational awareness, invented by Simon Wardley, and made available under CC-BY-SA.
The Provider has created The Tool for you to create and manage your Value Chain Maps, and will do its best to keep you satisfied. However, in order to protect mutual interests, some rules are established and need to be accepted by you prior The Tool usage.
In order to use The Tool, You need to have a computer with:
Also, you need to have the right to the content you put into the tool. This is especially important if you are using The Tool for creating Maps for Your company.
You may sign up to The Tool either by completing the registration process or by authorizing The Tool to use your Google account (so called social login). The Tool will ask you for the permission to view your email address and basic personal information (first name, last name).
Social login will also work even if You are using Gmail for Corporations.
The Tool will not gain access to your email box nor will be able to send emails from your email address.
By signing up, you enter into a binding agreement with the Provider.
Mas belong to you. Period.
You grant The Provider the right to review them and use metadata (f.e. the average number of nodes) for the purpose of improving The Tool functionality.
The Tool allows for making Maps available to anyone. This means that, after your certain action, anyone will be able to view your work, copy it and redistribute beyond your and The Provider control. The Provider is not responsible for what will happen when you publish a Map.
The Provider cannot grant you the right to the things you do not have the right, so if f.e. you create a map for the company You work for without required consent, you still own the map, but your employer may not be happy about this.
The Tool is expected to be available 24/7.
Short maintenance work (up to 15 minutes daily) may happen unannounced.
All longer outages will be announced via the twitter @wardleymaps account.
The @wardleymaps twitter account is the official way of interaction with The Provider. The response will come in no longer than 1 business day.
The Tool is hosted in the US Region (on the Red Hat OpenShift). Your maps and settings will be stored there.
Your login information is processed by Stormpath (US).
Your payments will be processed by Braintree (US) - including Your credit card details. The Provider nor The Tool will know your credit card number.
There is Google Analytics and Woopra employeed (with respective cookies) in order to track how The Tool is used.
Your email address and your first name is passed to Mailchimp in order to send you emails.
You agree that your email address may be passed to other providers performing services on behalf of The Provider.
You agree that all data associated with may be transferred to a third party if the third party will be a successor of The Provider.
You have the right to correct or remove Your personal data.
Some changes may be introduced to the ToC and will be announced via @wardleymaps twitter account.
In case you do not agree with changes, You have to terminate the agreement by notifying @wardeymaps.
You have the right to terminate the agreement at any time.
The tool is fully functional for 30 days from the first signup or from the payments introduction.
Further tool usage is 5$ per month, billed monthly.
You can terminate your subscription at any time.
Complaints & responsibility
The provider will put expected effort into making The Tool as usable as possible. In the case, however, the tool is not up to your expectations, you are entitled to fill a complaint by messaging @wardleymaps.
The limit of The Provider's responsibility is a fee paid by You last month.
You agree to not abuse the law, The Tool, other Tool users, other people or The Provider.
